Review by hotel critic
During my recent city break in Vancouver, I had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Waterfront, a serene oasis that beautifully blends luxury with a commitment to environmental sustainability. The hotel's location is unbeatable; just a stone's throw from Canada Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre, it serves as an excellent launch pad for exploring the vibrant city while being surrounded by stunning water and mountain views. Our mornings began with delightful breakfasts at ARC Restaurant, where the menu featured a delectable array of locally sourced options, including scrumptious made-to-order waffles and house-smoked salmon. The ambiance, accentuated by live music wafting through the bright marble-floored lobby, created the perfect setting to start the day with my travel companions. From Daniel at the Front Desk, who ensured we had an early check-in and a beautiful harbour view room, to the attentive concierge team, Janella and Graeme, who took care of our last-minute plans to explore Victoria, every detail of our stay was meticulously handled. Hospitality here truly encapsulates a West Coast experience, making us feel right at home. For families, the outdoor pool is a fantastic feature-you can enjoy a refreshing morning swim while soaking in breathtaking views of the harbour. Plus, the easy access to nearby attractions like Stanley Park or Gastown made our explorations both convenient and enriching. In a nutshell, the Fairmont Waterfront not only provides luxurious accommodations and culinary delights but also fosters an environment of care that resonates with nature enthusiasts like myself. I left with cherished memories and a heart full of gratitude for the unparalleled experiences shared with my companions. If you seek tranquility amid the urban buzz of Vancouver, this hotel is an enchanting choice!
